Traveling down Hellspoort Pass, one's eyes meet with breathtaking views of the lodge in pristine natural surroundings and all-embracing space.  Hellspoort pass, curving through the game farm on its way to Grahamstown, gave Hellspoort Valley its name.

Situated in Frontier Country, Hellspoort Valley enables one to take a trip through history.  Several historical sites such as Fort Beaufort and Grahamstown are in close proximity.  The rich historical culture of the Xhoza dating from the 1820s is an attraction on its own.
